Resolutions

Posting from somewhere new today!

I think it’s time, to be honest with all of you. It has been so hard juggling so many things. With working full time, in a job I am not passionate about and having to neglect the job that I would love to do. I have decided to stop working against my nature and nurture it. It’s 2017. A new year and I have decided to be happy. Photography have been a passion of mine since 2011, truth be told it was there even before I picked up my first DSLR. So I think it’s time I give it a really good go, don’t you?

Stepping into 2017, I don’t think I have ever been happier to greet the new year because, to be honest, 2016 sucked. Don’t get me wrong, there were definitely points of the year that I really enjoyed but overall, 2016 was too busy, confusing and downright frustrating at times. Towards the end, my motivation to do anything was at an all time low.

I don’t know what it is about the new year. People seem to get more motivated and excited to better themselves. Day one of 2017, I felt so motivated to get stuck into new business ideas and just finding a new direction for my life. I signed up for a small business course to get me started. I sat down and made decisions that 2016 held me back from making.

In 2017, I will be focusing on being happier and being more calm about the future, realising that I can’t control every outcome but to always plan for the best one. I need to give myself the best chance at being happy and I guess I have been going back and forth between pursuing photography and not because I am afraid of failure.

So in 2017, I will:

  1. Be pursuing photography – because, well, I deserve to do something I love for once.
  2. Post quality blog post at least once a week.
  3. Continue with my 52 weeks project.
  4. Be more present in the moment, doing one thing only rather than frantically multitasking.
  5. Explore more.
