I can’t stress just how much I dreaded writing about this. I hate the thought of committing myself to a specific label. I have always been one of those people with a million hobbies and interests. I detest being boxed in and unchanging. Some people ask me why it is I blog and what the general theme of my blog is. For a while, I did not know but now…
On twitter, my hashtags are usually along the lines of #femalebloggers and other generically broad category. Last weekend, while stuck at home due to extreme weather conditions, I came to the realisation that I don’t have to be boxed in but I do need a clear direction for this blog.
After careful evaluation of my content, I decided to take on the challenge of being a lifestyle blogger with a heavy emphasis on experiences. One that welcome new experiences and chances to learn with open arms. I want to try everything this life has to offer, whether it be travel, learning languages, or cooking classes. I want to do it all.
YOU EXPERIENCE TODAY FOR THE FIRST AND LAST TIME
I am quite excited to have a general theme to follow. A purpose for this blog. I want to continue documenting the past and future first-times or repeats of experiences that are both good and bad. I am elated by the fact that I have found a label that encourages me to live fluidly. Life is more fun when you go the wrong way in the right direction.
This blog will specifically focus on inspiring people to actively seek out new experiences and to encourage continued learning. I hope to show people that even with a busy schedule, you can still celebrate life every day. For the first time in my life, I don’t mind being labelled. Today only comes once. Make it count.
