The last weekend was a great one despite me being sick. I felt like I was swallowing razors half the day. I spent the day with my family visiting the Sydney Cherry Blossom Festival in Auburn. We spent the day amongst beautiful trees under the blue, blue sky. It was a great day to celebrate the arrival of spring.
Although I expected more cherry blossoms as I have imagined in my mind endless fields of cherry blossoms; I was not disappointed with what was presented. Though the trees were few and the clusters were small, it was a beautiful place to spend the day, trying Japanese food, stalking ducks and peacocks and people watching.
The trees were still in full bloom on the last day of the festival. If you have the time and is in the area, do pay the place a visit.
